Some New Additions Saturday, Nov 25 2006

Hi all one of you that reads this blog. I have added a few sections that might interest you. Then again it might not. ‘Course if the one reader is me, well then, I’m quite happy with what I have added. *Sigh* Take a look at the Desktops and Audio sections if you’re so inclined. Have a good day, me. Thanks, I will!

Our Redesign & Genealogy Wednesday, Sep 27 2006

Well, I’d been putting it off for a while, trying to think of a good way to manage things. Here’s the result! I’ll be adding new pages as I’m able (school is in full swing). However, I do have one treat! The genealogy that many family members wanted is now available online. Go to the Downloads page and click the only link I have available at this time. If you have additions, as it is far from complete, please rename it and email it back to me.

Another Year Older… Wednesday, Nov 23 2005

Well, I’m older now. Great. I feel older everyday. What’s the big deal? I’ve been eyein’ this new Harley down at the local motorcycle shop. I got this dream that me and my woman ditches the chillins with some relative, we get on the hog – all dressed in black leather, and we hit the open road, riding off into the distance to the tune of “Bad to the Bone”! It’s vivid! It’s glorious! It’s, it’s, it’s not going to happen. Mid-life crisis averted. Whew! I’m glad that’s over. At any rate, I sure better get to all things that I haven’t yet finished. I only got the rest of my life to get it all done. I ain’t gettin’ any younger!

Updates – Boring Title, I Know Thursday, Oct 20 2005

So, it’s been a while since I posted anything. Hmm. Let’s do some updates.

  1. Me: The choir program at SCCS is doing very well. This is a building year. I have quite a few talented young singers. I hope they will step up and lead the groups as they progress through their high school career. Concert is on October 29th, at 10:00 a.m. in the Audnausium (Gymatorium). Currently, I am working on a new missions program at Thornville – sovereign grace oriented gospel tracks with mini audio CDs containing a small recorded message from our Pastor. I have started my change of diet via my consultations with my allergist. I feel terrible. But looking at my sisters and seeing their improvement over the long haul, I’m optimistic. As a plus side, I’ve lost at least twelve pounds in one week. That in itself is uncommon but I’m happy with that.
  2. Andrea: She has received her assignment for her student teaching. She will be teaching in Grand Blanc, a rather well-off town south of us. We’re excited (the money saved in gas will be considerable). It really looks as if she will graduate this school year! That makes us ecstatic! She continues to have allergic reactions to almost anything that touches her skin. She sees the allergist on Thursday of next week. I’m hopeful, she’s in mourning ;) .
  3. Rachel: She is doing very well in first grade. I can’t believe the homework they receive every week in class. It’s simple and she likes doing it but it’s quite a bit. I still think children at this age need to play. She is losing more teeth and is more than happy to show us all.
  4. Hannah: She is the only one of the family that is not in school. This bothers her some. She spends Tuesdays and Thursdays with her Grandma. She is growing and is not that much smaller than Rachel.

We’re doing fine. We wish we had more time/energy to spend with each other. It’s amazing to me how fast our days fly by.

The Last Official Day of Summer Friday, Aug 26 2005

I know, I know. The last official day of summer is not yet for a while. However for those of us in the field of public education, our summer has ended. School begins on Monday, August 29th with a half of a day of school. Sigh. It’s true that as we age, time seems to pass more quickly. I feel as if summer has blown by me.

At any rate, the summer break has been relaxing. Andrea, the squirts and I did go camping with Mom and Dad Greene. We also went to a beautiful campground in Indiana for the SGBA family conference. And we did replace the aging and decrepit roof on our house. See pictures of this monumental process in our Paparazzi section. Work is still not completed on our kitchen, but it is definitely shaping up. We’ll get it all done… just in time to move.

Many people ask me how I feel about going back to school. I would guess I feel the same as any person returning to work following a vacation. I’m sad that it’s over but glad that I have been able to refresh myself. I only hope that I’ll have enough sanity to be able to update this blog as the school year progresses. May God grant me the strength to serve Him in this increasingly demanding position!
