I know, I know. The last official day of summer is not yet for a while. However for those of us in the field of public education, our summer has ended. School begins on Monday, August 29th with a half of a day of school. Sigh. It’s true that as we age, time seems to pass more quickly. I feel as if summer has blown by me.

At any rate, the summer break has been relaxing. Andrea, the squirts and I did go camping with Mom and Dad Greene. We also went to a beautiful campground in Indiana for the SGBA family conference. And we did replace the aging and decrepit roof on our house. See pictures of this monumental process in our Paparazzi section. Work is still not completed on our kitchen, but it is definitely shaping up. We’ll get it all done… just in time to move.

Many people ask me how I feel about going back to school. I would guess I feel the same as any person returning to work following a vacation. I’m sad that it’s over but glad that I have been able to refresh myself. I only hope that I’ll have enough sanity to be able to update this blog as the school year progresses. May God grant me the strength to serve Him in this increasingly demanding position!
